“I have been a fan of Cheryl Reiss since we were colleagues at The Marine Mammal Center (TMMC), where Cheryl was impressive in her ability to persuasively pitch both media and prospective major donors (including one of the founders of Twitter). I was thrilled when Cheryl launched her own PR business, and last year we reconnected and have teamed up on two of my client projects in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Cheryl succeeded in getting a feature article from KQED for my Silicon Valley client, the first earned media it had garnered in three years, and a series of print, online and broadcast earned media for my museum client in San Francisco for a major international photography exhibit it hosted last summer. Both of these organizations have lean staffing and budgets, with no internal capacity to develop and pitch their content and stories, so without Cheryl neither client would have secured these important earned media placements. We have renewed Cheryl for another year with my Silicon Valley client, and she has helped to fill a communications gap that had been frustrating to its board of directors and donors. I highly recommend Cheryl as a great professional and human being!”
